Active Championship Membership
There are 525 playing spaces on the Championship Course. Those Society Members who have purchased playing dues the previous calendar year are given the first opportunity to purchase one of the openings available in the current calendar year. To remain eligible for a dues paying spot, a member must provide payment of annual dues by April 1st of each season. Active Championship Members have full playing priviledges on both the Executive and Championship Courses.
For the 2010 Championship Dues form please login in to the members section of the website using your user name and password or contact the administration office at (250) 832.3667. Administration office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm.

Executive Dues
Executive Course Membership and Annual Passes
Executive Course Memberships and annual passes are available at the Salmon Arm Golf Club. Purchase of a Society Share is not necessary in order to join the Executive Course. Society Shareholders, however receive reduced yearly Executive Course dues. Executive Members and annual receive a discount on Championship Course green fees.

Junior Dues
Junior Membership
Anyone under the age of nineteen years as of the 1st day of September of the current calendar year is eligible for Junior Membership on the Championship or Executive Courses.

University Membership
A Junior member who has attained the age of nineteen years as of September 1st of the current year, who is in full time attendance at a post-secondary institution, and who has been a Junior member of the club for three of the last five years, may have his or her Junior status extended for up to four years.
Intermediate Membership
This category is available to any student over the age of 19 years, and under the age of 25 years as of the 1st day of September of the then current year, and who is in full time attendance at a post-secondary educational institution, and who does not qualify for Junior status, is eligible to be an Intermediate Passholder.

How do I become a Member of the Salmon Arm Golf Club Society?
To become a member of the Salmon Arm Golf Club Society, you must be a Society Share Holder. The Salmon Arm Golf Club is currently selling Society Shares and has limited availability for playing spots.
Society Share
A Society Share Purchase is currently made up of the following fees:
Society Share $ 800.00
Initiation Fee $ 3700.00
Total Society Membership: $ 4500.00 +tax
Purchase Options
Three different payment options are available to purchase a Society Share .
Option 1:
Outright purchase of $4500.00 +tax.
Option 2:
24-month Payment Plan
Using pre-authorized payments, your bank account or credit card is charged monthly, for 24 months, in the amount of $196.75+tax. This payment plan includes a $222.00 administration fee which is a part of the monthly payment. Payments received are non-refundable.
Option 3:
5-year Payment Plan - (unavailable if the dues paying member limit of 525 is reached)
The Society Share cost is divided into five (5) equal payments, which must be paid together with the regular annual Championship Golf Course dues, each of the five consecutive years. An individual may opt to pay the share out at any time, however regular payment plan and dues payments are required on or before April 1st each year, while on the plan.
Share certificates will be issued following the final payment of a plan.
Society Share Transfers
Society Shares are transferable only within immediate family. Immediate family is limited to children, grand-children, parents, or spouses of the current Society Member. A transfer fee of 10% of the total membership cost in the year of the transfer is applicable, plus tax.
Society Share Redemption
A Society Share may be redeemed upon written request to the Club. The current redemption value of a share is a combination of the $700.00 Share amount and the Water Assessment originally paid, to a maximum of $800.00. Redemption is subject to the sale of a new Share or approval of the Board of Directors. Share Certificates for redemption must be returned to the Club or a disclaimer signed.
Ownership of a Society Share entitles the purchaser to all priviledges of the Society, including: voting rights at Society meetings and the option to purchase playing dues, if available.
Society Shares are non-interest bearing.
